Vans introduces the Arcata as part of their Fall 2011. Billed as a mid-top version of the popular Versa, the sneaker is featured in three butter soft suede colors, each with tonal leather piping, waxed laces, leather lining and a soft heel collar. Although designed as more of a lifestyle offering, the reinforced ollie area also makes them great for skating – as they should be – these are Vans after all. Seen at Bright.

What do you guys think?? Looks like a high top version of the Versa.
Don't really think i'm liking them too much.

Hmmm, I like the Versa's, but not as big a fan of these. I'll probably end up picking up a pair just to try 'em out, though. Sometimes you get surprised!

the blank side wall mades it odd for me but then again my opinion might change when I see them first hand

It's not OTW, HighSnobs doesn't get their info correct from time to time. It's a core model.

Chris is 100% correct ^^^^

and they are definitely made to be skated...there are a lot of features inside the shoe and the way it was constructed to make it very protective and no hotspots...
