I'm sure I read somewhere a while back that these are exclusive to Journey's or one of the other big chains over in the States.

Well if you were Journey's CEO you'd consider them exclusive because you're the only shop that has them for sale and anyone in the entire country (scratch that, the world) that wants to buy them has to buy them from one of your stores. You're thinking of "exclusive" in the same way that you would a Syndicate release which isn't applicable here at all.
