Hey OTW,
My name is Thomas, I'm 19, originally from South San Francisco, but I'm down Cal Poly SLO for summer school. I've been into Vans since I was a kid and they were the only shoes that I consistently wore throughout my life. I went through the Nike SB phase and occasionally still buy whatever looks good. I haven't bought too many shoes over the past year or two just because of school and other stuff. I still follow shoe related sites constantly, but I'm not an impulse buyer like I used to be when I would buy shoes nearly every two to three weeks.

Over the past year or so several Vans have caught my attention, but the quality of the footwear is a hit or miss from shoe to shoe. The EVA insole in GRs is crazy thin in comparison to some older ones that I've had. The Syndicate line hasn't dropped anything that tickles my fancy since the Max Schaaf Eras. So I'm pretty particular in what I'll buy now. I'm psyched on the old shape they brought back on the Old Skools and hope they keep that around. That's pretty much it for now. I'll try to get some pictures up, I really don't have any shoes with me right now. I'll try to get a picture of my full Vans collection (which will be my first Collection picture ever) just for the OTW Family.

Currently looking for the Supreme Snakeskin Old Skools in the Navy and Black colorway in an 8. Also, the Suicidal Tendencies Eras in Black or Navy in an 8 as well. If you want to get rid of some that are in VNDS or DS condition let me know.

Thanks for joining, and you sound like you know your Vans shit! Right on homie. I as well, also like the classic Old Skool shape, even the separate toe piece, that was used on the 80s pack. Peace!

You mean 77? Tho I really like og cw of these I can't stand the toeboxes on 77's. And it would be really cool if they named them Vans Style 36 not Old Skool '77

^ Thanks, I'm trying to find some stateside to avoid the cost of international shipping. I appreciate the scouting though.

As far as the Old Skool shape, I was referring to the flattened toe piece like on the Ray Barbee Reissues and the Supreme Snakeskin Old Skools. Although I do like the colorways of the 77s, I'm not a huge fan of that toe piece.
