Questions on Chukka sizing and fit...

What is your experience with the fit of the Vans Chukka....

I am wondering if I got the right size.... the 8.5 seemed real BIG.

I got a 8 vs 8.5 (normal size) and they seem to fit ok in the length but seem tight around the toe box area... is that standard Chukka fit?

They are the Gr Chukka Pros if that matters....with a removable foot bed.

Any help is appreciated...

^ With myself, since i wear the same size as you, most of my chukkas are size 8, being that I'm a true 8.5, and they fit a tad snug, so I swap out the footbeds with thinner ones (Wtaps & Supreme in this case), and fit cool.....I just started to get 8.5's now cuz I didn't want to swap out the footbeds, the Supreme's are cool now, but with my 8.5 Wtaps, I'm still swapping out the footbeds.

I was hoping you would reply Chris... seems you have a lot of Chukkas.

Do you have a pair of the Chukka Pros?

I might go with the 8.5 and return the 8's.... dont really like snug fitting shoes.

^ I don't own a pair of pro's, but if the 8 is snug, you can try to swap them out with another footbed from another shoe that is thinner, I've used Dunk Low and AM1 footbeds in my Chukkas, and they fit cool, otherwise, get the 8.5's.

all of the Chukkas I have fit me TTS however the toebox is a lil snug.

yeah exactly and after that they are IMO the most consistently comfortable shoe by Vans

For me the best fitting and most comfortable are the Old Skool and the Cripta Dos models...

Thanks for the info guys... looks like I will make a trip back to Vans this morning and get the 8.5's
