OFS? U mean OWS for Original Waffle Society? It IS dope, but you think it's too many words? Keep in mind, we gotta have something that can be hashtagged fairly easily, without mistake. The more letters, the more chances for spelling it wrong. The play on words with wafflesouls is an example of something short, on the nose (meaning you most likely won't have to explain it), and is short enough for a hashtag campaign. Not trying to persuade anyone or anything, hehe.

Oops, yeah, OWS. Haha, I don't think it's too many but I'm sure people who hash tag things will get anything wrong sooner or later. It could be shortened to OG Waffle Society, or these two ideas could be mashed together in some way such as Waffle Soulciety. Or is that goofy? I think it sounds cool. That way we have "soul", Waffle, and "society".

Thanks for more of you guys chiming in. I like to see that we're all in on it. Mack, I would have to re-incarnate the older stuff, as the new stuff, with the new names on it, lol. That way, we don't infringe on Vans, by using anything with the name "offthewall" in it. If Vans doesn't get back to me by the end of this week, then I'll start bugging them to get that "ok" to use the final name that we come up with. I mean, they are the ones wanting me to change the name and stuff, so the ball is pretty much in their court now. Keep dropping name ideas guys!

Hehe, nice. Original Waffle Society sounds like it could work. I may just use the website as thewafflesociety.com, which sounds good for a website, but we can call ourselves the "Original Waffle Society" as the group, forum, etc. The friend Jay, of Woodman Co. suggested a few as well...

having read through the suggestions, 66WAFFLES is probably my favourite because it is short, memorable/catchy, and relevant to vans enthusiasts.

Thewafflesociety and theoriginalwafflesociety both sound good. So many people use #otws, that I want to sort of keep that going on Instagram, and theoriginalwafflesociety is the closest to that. OGWaffleSociety works too. OGWS! #OGWS. What do y'all think of that?

Waffle Souls could be like a name we go by, for charity fundraising, support, art shows, etc.

Yeah Bill I see where you're coming from. A lot can be used/incorporated into several different things we do to promote the site. We should have had discussions like this before the site's name was at stake.

OK, so I'm really leaning towards TheOriginalWaffleSociety.com and OGWaffleSociety.com. I'll buy both domains. Should I use "the" at the beginning, or no, it's not needed? At first I was thinking yes, but once it clicked that the abbreviation was "OGWS", then I felt I should drop the "the" on the OGwafflesociety.com one. Vans didn't like us using "OTWS" because it was too close to OTW. Well, this has nothing to do with OTW now, so I'm feeling confident that we can move forward with this one, with no ramifications or insult, and it sort of allows us to link our old identity in some way. God, I hope they won't be dicks about it.

...and Mikey, I know how you feel about wanting a timeless name. I'm sure that's what we all want. Society is a little bit snobbish and old, but I think it's more about pairing it up with the challenging word "Waffle". I can't think of a better word that could go next to it. Waffle + Gang? Naw. Waffle + Clique? Nope. Waffle + Clan? From the slums of Shaolin? Waffle + Set? (Hmm maaaybe. We're getting into gang territory though). I think with the right designs and graphics, we could portray Waffle Society and OGWS in a cool way. Hell, I'd make some bones "OGWS" hats just to launch our new name, haha!

So what do you guys say? Buy the domains?!
