If these released the same time the black leather vault old skools (& authentics) released, these are old.. at least 2 years I think.

I think even older than that Daniel... maybe more like 4 years old. I had them prior to my current GF and we've been together for 3 and 1/2 years. Lol

Haha, pretty on the money there wolf, my black/white old skool box says 05/2010, but I swear they must have re-released these, because my sk8-hi (of the same pack) box says 12/2011. Unless the sk8-hi's came out after, but I' pretty sure I remember the whole pack (old skool, sk8-hi, authentic, and slip on) dropping at the same time.

Now that you mention it I do remember them doing two releases. I remember thinking I wanted the Black Authentics the second time around. Don't remember seeing the Old Skools the second time though.

They arrived today and the box says Fall 2010.

Another way to check, is to look on the back of the Vault sewn in tag. The back side sometimes says the season and year. A few shops got these, so perhaps they were pushed into the back corner of a warehouse, lol?

i checked, no sewn in tags on these.
my money is on warehouse discovery.

But then again, I saw a brown arrowhead keychain on one of the pics. There's something tricky going on here.

they say FALL 2010 on them, but they do have the arrowhead keychain.
perhaps they spruced up the old stock with some leftover keychains
they also have the extra laces in a bag that is connected to the shoe like the keychain.
additionally the laces have vault tips.

yeah the Vault tip ones are the ones I got. Very nice.

I have the Authentic and it's from 2010. Bought them for my girlfriend as well. Great shoes for everyday use especially come rainy season.

So it's an older release, re-released. Got it!

How was the leather on the black pair? The only thing I have as reference was the leather on the Ave x dill oldskool. Random Question I know but any input would be great thanks

I've always wondered this myself.
The leather looks like quality leather faux sure, I'd never question Vault quality leather.
Hopefully Jesse can chime in on this, I know he had a pair of Authentics..
