I'm gonna need to pick this pack up.

Blogged, and that Sk8-Hi is looking like a pretty good every day wearing shoe.

Something looks off about the collar of the Sk8-Hi. Almost like it's meant to be cut down, or something. Just look at the padding at the third collar stitch.
It's probably nothing, but it wouldn't be the first time a shoe was made to be cut.

Referring to the tongue on the Adidas Busenitzes more than full-cabs, because those actually had a "cut here" line on the underside of the tongue!

Max has a bunch of old made in America sk8-hi's and he wanted these to be exactly like those, which might be why of looks the way it does.

I like that the stitching didn't go all the way to the inside liner on the top 2 rows. That extra cushion also translates to more warmth I assume. Work wear steez.

It seemed to me from pictures of the samples I saw, that the padding on the Hi's was a little too thick. We'll have to see what they come out like. I'm dying for these sk8 lo's!! I always wished the Sk8 Lo was made with the Vans stripe but usually pairs always have it absent. This Lo will look much more iconic, I think.

Hmm... Might have to rethink these sk8-hi's. Not sure how that padding is going to work with my skinny jeans. haha!! And come on syndicate, drawer boxes!!

weird theirs slipped in first... think the Uk distributor lets them out of the gate as soon as they arrive, rather than holding for the national (us) release.

btw the padding doesnt seem thicker to me necessarily, just more flexible... but i haven't done a comparison or anything. will report more once production pairs rolls in.

edit: finally stuck my foot in the sample to make sure I wasnt just flapping my gums.... Super impressed with the form fit on the sk8-hi.

We're dyin' over here!

Can't wait for this release.
