Words by highsnobiety "vans OTW has teamed up with Hong Kong designer Chris Kong on a limited edition version of its Alomar mid top sneaker. Kong heads Garage Works Industries, known for its vinyl figures and toys, mostly in collaboration with well known contemporary artists. Years ago we have actually worked with Chris Kong on a special Highsnobiety version of their Ron English toy.
Today we can give you a first preview of the collaborative sneaker that he created with Vans OTW. It comes in a striking red colorway with a thunder graphic embroidery on the side and a fading check pattern on the mid-sole.

yezzir! they also come with blue laces and the lace covers reverse for even more blue pop.

These will be a must-have. Glad to see they're having some fun with an OTW release finally!

seems like theyre only releasing at select retailers....anyone have an idea if these will be available on the vans webshop or retail store?

It was Supposed to be pretty limited ^^^ only 2-3 accounts per territory..... so I'm guessing no webstore......we passed on these, and the upcoming dimitre coste ones that are coming out right now.

That said, i can probably wrangle anything you are after Lazywork....and / or anyone else interested.... your foot size may be the most difficult issue.

Appreciate the info sir! If you can possibly get these in a 7 that'd be great, yet I don't even know if they even make the collabs that small. Also, good lookin out on getting my syndicate chukka lows for me!

i had a otw rep tweet me back with the same list of stores, just sucks that most of those stores dont even have them up on their webshop yet. Guess ill be checking every so often if they update their sites. I was hoping these would be a GR, hype or not....this colorway/concept is dope to me.

Tactics has them but star at size 8
