What kinda V8 is that? I would assume LS1 GM motor, cause those are pretty common import swaps as of late, but I only recognize them with their spark plug covers, and what not.

I'm not possitive but like you I'm sure its a GM... I was on my way out and the guys were pulling my car around so no one was there to ask and I had forgot about it by the time I saw them again...

did start talking to him about my car and he was showing me a single turbo RX-7 and took me for a ride in it... only running 9lbs of boost and it was a little bit quicker than mine so I'm gonna take that leap of faith and order the single turbo. He was telling me that with what I got in my car right now and then add a single turbo (they have a intake and exhaust system made of titanium) and bigger spark plugs I could possible get to 500whp if not that much I could get close... I'm skeptical until I see it...

There was a dyno chart there of a '93 Civic that was 819hp pretty cool

Yeah I still don't get how people squeeze out anything above 500hp from these damn Hondas. It just seems inconceivable!

Funk Master Flex's 2nd Annual Celebrity Car Show - August 20

Got a small treat for yal. Just cracked open an ancient photobucket account and found sum pix from a decade ago(reminded me how fun bein young really was lol). Aside from about 150 pix of vans shoes(back when i just wore em, didn't think too hard bout em)that I found, I stumbled upon some pictures from a disposible camera I brought along with me to Funk Flex's 2nd annual celeb car show. The show was actually 2 different competitions, one for us normal folk, and one for the celebs. The car we went in took second place in the Nissan devision. Somehow, a few pix are missing. For example, the winner of the show, Wyclefs 1.8 million dollar McClaren. But the pictures I did miss, i found videos on youtube or other sites that I'll post below. The ONLY thing I couldn't find was wyclefs monster truck on hydrolics...appearantly that things was so rediculously awsome that they destroyed all evidence of its existence cuz i really can't find it...i got to stand in the bed of the trick ( it was a pick up) with a few other kids and they made that thing bounce so hard it was f*ckin scary...damn near fell out! and not the normal front to back OG bounces either, them full on "one tire at a time" bounces that will damn near flip a car!

here's a quick write-up of the event, names the celeb cars and what not. Its worth a read.

ENUFF TALK, PIX!!!:
Since we slept in the front of the line for 12 hours to be first in the show, we got to take pix w/ flex!
Image
34" daytons. I thought this was a prop, but no....a few mobile homes were rockin these! This was before people were really doin this too
Image
34" spinnerz. Took the pic while they were spinnin, if u can tell
Image
my big brother, me, and my brother's friend. the car behind us was the car we rode in, it took second place in the Nissan devision.

ps2's under both seats
Image
When we first hopped in, he had accidentally turned the volume up. I quite litterally lost some of my hearing for 20 minutes of the ride.

a few other non-celeb contenders:

Lambo

SL 500

onto the celeb whips!!!:
This is a video I found on youtube that shows the $1.8 million McClaren(43sec) that stole the show from the big tymers! the whole body kit was made from carbon fiber, wich took 2 years to make. It has one front seat(3 total), dead center in the middle of the car lol RAW!!!:http://www.youtube.com/embed/Xf-cP-OyzcM

Big Tymers!!! The hummer in the back is the one from the video "Fo fifteens, didn't see no wires!!! then I heard BOOM from the amplifiers!!". The seats were made of ostrich leather, and it stank like dead animal...lol. Not pictured here, there was a matching candy apple read corvette w/ a custom LV ragtop as well.

Ooh MR. That answers my question in the pickups section. What's the reason for the teardown? Front mount?

Motor build got a killer deal and didnt wanna pass it up and since the motor is out I figured now is the best time respray the car the color I've been wanting to since I bought it.
