From what my sources are saying, Vans is gonna terminate the Vault and Syndicate line because of OTW and California.

And, Vans Syndicate is like their "expensive" line and not a of people ~ especially skaters aren't willing to pay a lot just to skate in them.

That's crazy if true. Syndicates are the greatest Vans ever! There is definitely a market for higher end Vans in our core community...look at eBay! Maybe Vans should just scale back the production numbers...and stop creating new models...that way the operation costs shouldn't change much, just the material costs. I haven't seen ONE person walking around with OTW shoes on...sounds like they're trying extra hard to get that division going, and maybe the demographic they were trying to target, the fashion forward people, didn't buy into it. Fashion forward is...forward...ahead of the trend, and individualistic. OTWs are in every Vans store. If the shoe was as limited as Vaults, maybe that demographic would've bought them. I hope it's not true!

I agree with you Guam. I also believe things need to happen organically. If you look at the roots of the Vault and Syndicate lines they weren't hugely promoted or advertised. They dropped and people bought it. I think that's how things need to happen. If you push to hard people will have a hard time accepting it. You need to make people feel special!

Really? West Covina mall has every release. Must be a popular store. I also saw a few models at the Ontario Mills, at one of those generic stores that buys old stock, and resells, (I forgot the name), but it's a huge store, and they blare loud music, and the shoes are lined up on the walls, from floor to ceiling. THey had a few Bedfords, and Alomars in there. I think I've seen a few at some other Vans stores as well, and plus they sell them online.

yeah thats only with Vans stores however there are A LOT of other stores that carry the OTW collection and sell online obviously... Vans wanted to make it a special release sort of thing so they limited it to only a few stores per district...
