Definitely awesome. But the rubber is too inferior for the concept. I have noticed that they embrace te Cali culture, which is sweet. I wish they didn't do it exclusively in Japan though. Sort of doesn't make sense.

It is kind of shitty how Japan gets their own branch of Vans line. Where Vault, Syndicate and California are worldwide.

Not that Japan releases come in my size anyway, but... really?
I get that it's kind of neat they're reproducing the vintage vans, but come on... you talk about how the details on these are great, and I'm just not seeing it. Maybe I'm spoiled by what went into the primitive HCs, but I've gotta say, back to back, I'm not quite as floored as some.
It's cool to be able to beat the vintage style with less worry, but I dunno. I'd get some GRs before these, especially the black ones.
