Blue authentics are definitely my favorite! Might try for the olive pair, too. I wish the old skools had the same waxed laces as the other pairs, though! And I agree with sliponfiend, a white sidestripe would've helped as well.

Just noticed this review on the vans site for the authentics:
"I got these on the Vans web site because I thought they would be better but they were not. They were padded differently,(there was none), around the opening and they were cut lower as well. I got LESS SHOE for the same price I payed for at Shoe Carnival. Granted they were a different color but why would that matter? It is a 'thin' shoe and will not hold up."

I guess if you remove yourself of any and all Vans knowledge, that's how you could feel, though. haha
