^^^ thats a little bit frustrating for me too. We aren't allowed Vault and based on the same rules they should not be allowed Syndicate. Blends runs BTNC i think same crew, and thats their "skateshop" so they have that... Sometimes when the lines get blurred its just for a specific release.... But for example I fought tooth and nail to get the wtaps vault and was denied denied denied.... only to have supreme get it and I got a phone call saying "sorry, they were gonna get em either way as they could have went through back channels with W)taps and Japan"----- now I'm gossiping and ranting of course, but its to your point. And i think Im fair to share that as its long past.
Have not a single thing against any of those shops and support all of them, but yeah, you are completely right and fair to point that out as it is hypocritical for Vans, at least from a customer standpoint (and even me as a retailer.)
Those FLY syndicates are another example of a channel abusing the system and getting an SMU in a category that makes no sense. Again, nothing against FLY... its just weird powers that be decisions that are totally against the reason there are categories in the first place.

LoL! BTW got my pairs today Brant. Love them! Check out some USA flags I found locally that match up pretty well. I also found some PVC rubber morale patches in a few various colors, even one for last year's notchback. They're slightly larger than the velcro loop pad on the tongue, but ehh, close enough. I still wanna make a cool patch for these!
